The ICT Department provides ICT instruction to Key Stages 3 and 4 as well as Sixth Form. Courses studied include ICT Accreditation (KS3) and GCSE ICT (KS4). Advanced Level ICT and Key Skills are offered in the Sixth Form.
There are six ICT labs with filtered Internet access and the whole school pupil:computer ratio is 1:4. Every classroom is equipped with a generous number of networked Pcs and nearly all classrooms are equipped with electronic interactive whiteboards.

1. Aims
The AS and A2 GCE Advanced level specifications should encourage students to:
(a) become discerning users of ICT; and
(b) develop a broad range of ICT skills, knowledge and understanding of ICT.
This should form a basis for progression into further learning, including progression from AS to A2 and/or employment.
1.2 Prior attainment
Students should have a sound knowledge of GCSE Information and Communications Technology (or equivalent). However, those with no prior computing experience but who possess a keen interest in the subject and are willing to work hard are welcome to enrol.
This course will follow the CCEA Specification [1] . All units will be assessed by written examination or class-based practical tasks as indicated in section 1.4.
1.3. Careers
Career prospects for those with high level ICT/computer skills are very good.
